If you read our newsletter from earlier this week, you know that TDEE stands for Total Daily Energy Expenditure.
And while yes, it's true that you need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight...
Your body does NOT want to eat less than it’s burning for very long!
For most of your life, you should be eating the same amount that you’re burning.
This is called maintenance.
Beyond nutritional deficiencies, hormone imbalances and poor mood, constantly trying to lose weight by eating less and less leads to the saddest experience of all:
Missing out on life because your mind is consumed with thoughts about food, your body image, weight, how much you need to exercise for “being bad”, and comparing yourselves to others.
Instead of being present, you:
Play small.
Dim your light.
And fail to recognize that your value and worth has nothing to do with how you look.
And yet, ironically, when you start focusing on how things make you FEEL...
And start thinking about NOURISHING yourself (and not just from food!)…
